Stephen Sexton
Stephen Sexton lives in Belfast where he teaches at the Seamus Heaney Centre at QUB. His first poetry collection, If All the World and Love Were Young, won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection, the E.M. Forster Award, and the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, and was shortlisted for both the Dylan Thomas Prize and the John Pollard Poetry Prize. Sexton’s writing has appeared in Poetry, Granta, Poetry London, Poetry Ireland Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and other major publications. His second collection, Cheryl’s Destinies (2021), was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Collection.
Dawn Watson
Dawn Watson, a native of Belfast, is a lecturer in creative writing at the prestigious Seamus Heaney Centre, Queen’s University Belfast. In 2022, she successfully completed her PhD in poetry. Dawn’s forthcoming debut poetry collection, titled ‘We Play Here,’ is set to be published by Granta Books in Autumn 2023. She has also published a poetry pamphlet titled ‘The Stack of Owls is Getting Higher’ (2019) through The Emma Press. Dawn’s work has been featured on BBC Radio 4 and has been showcased in esteemed journals such as The Poetry Review and Granta. Additionally, she brings valuable experience as a former national tabloid sub-editor.
