Join Conor Mitchell and the Belfast Ensemble for open rehearsals of their latest work for children. Students of music, drama or creative writing are invited to drop-in during these hours to observe, ask questions and gain a valuable insight into adapting stories, and working with actors and musicians to produce an opera for very young children.

The Musician, Mitchell's previous opera for children, was co-produced with Young at Art in 2021 and has its German premiere with Oper Koln in Feb 2023. This new work will be presented in a performative talk at the School of Music at Queen's on Sun 5 Mar as part of the Young at Art NI Showcase.
