The Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s began producing short films at the start of the first lockdown in 2020, to replace the readings, launches, and conversations that would have formed part of their live literary events programme. Together with colleagues at QFT, they have brought new writing by students, staff, Fellows and friends to international audiences.

All our 'virtual events' are available to view for free (no subscription necessary), alongside many excellent titles on the QFT Player. 

Music and lyrics are important to us, and we want share the soundtrack to the Heaney Centre beyond our walls. Recreate the atmosphere of the SHC Presents nights, or the relaxed productivity of the SHC Reading Room with a playlist from our Spotify page.
